White Poppy Stalls

When:
October 29, 2016 @ 12:00 pm – 3:00 pm
Where:
Glasgow and Edinburgh

White Poppies can be worn alongside of or as an alternative to Red poppies to remember all victims of war, not only soldiers, but civilians as well. In our own time 90% of casualties of war are civilians according to UNICEF.
In contrast to the red poppy with its implicit and explicit support for armed force the white poppy represents a commitment to find ways to resolve conflicts without recourse to armed conflict.

Edinburgh: Hunter Square – behind the Tron Kirk at the junction of the Royal Mile and South Bridge from 12 – 3pm and East end of Princes St, next to the Wellington Statue 1-3pm

Glasgow: Buchanan St Precinct – in front of All Saints (previously Borders Books)  12-2pm
